A New Pathways Open …
The QIIN Fellowship is more than an award, it is an invitation to advance quality, knowledge and measurable national impact.
On Friday, 6 November 2026, the Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN) presented its Fellow Award (FQIIN) to the Director-General/CEO of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), Prof. Charles Anosike, at the Agency’s headquarters in Abuja.
Presented by QIIN President/CEO, Dr Stephen S. Hati, the award recognises Prof. Anosike’s leadership and NiMet’s sustained quality journey, demonstrated through more than a decade of ISO certification, recertification and progressive expansion of its certified services.
Beyond the presentation, the engagement opened an important conversation about practical collaboration in climate and health, applied research, professional training, community engagement and institutional performance. Prof. Anosike also shared relevant NiMet publications and reference materials, providing valuable foundations for possible joint initiatives.
The climate-and-health focus is particularly timely as QIIN and its partners prepare for the Damangaza Community Needs Assessment and Wellness Day on Saturday, 7 November 2026—an initiative where environmental conditions, community wellbeing and public health naturally intersect.
Prof. Anosike will also deliver a Keynote Address at the 3rd National Quality Improvement Summit and Awards (NQIS 2026) on Thursday, 12 November 2026, under the theme: “Quality: Powering Performance.”
QIIN looks forward to building on this engagement through a structured partnership with NiMet—transforming shared interests into meaningful programmes, stronger institutions and improved outcomes for communities.
