Empowering Medical Professionals across Nigeria: ISO 15189:2022 Implementation Certification Course
A transformative journey
In August 2024, the Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN) embarked on a transformative journey, hosting the ISO 15189:2022 Medical Laboratories—Quality and Competence Implementation Certification Course. This course was meticulously designed for a diverse group of professionals, including scientists, embryologists, technicians, engineers, and quality professionals who are keen on elevating their standards of medical laboratory practice and overall organizational performance.
Our educational journey spanned three major Nigerian cities, reflecting QIIN’s commitment to broadening the reach and impact of quality improvement practices across the nation:
Abuja:
The course kicked off in the capital city, where we gathered at Hall A, Trauma Centre National Hospital, on August 13-14. The energy and enthusiasm from our Abuja participants set a high bar for the subsequent sessions.
Lagos:
Continuing our momentum, the next session was held at MAN CENTRE, Ikeja, on August 20-21. Lagos’ dynamic professional community brought insightful perspectives and deep engagement to the fore.
Port-Harcourt:
We concluded our tour in the vibrant city of Port-Harcourt at the GLORIOUS PRAISE EVENTS ARENA, on August 27-28. The dedication and commitment of the attendees here were palpable, underscoring the importance of quality standards in the medical field.
New opportunities
The course provided participants with not only in-depth knowledge and practical insights into ISO 15189:2022 but also equipped them with working templates applicable directly within their organizations. Additionally, attendees gained exclusive access to our prestigious QIIN membership and volunteer tutor network, opening doors to ongoing support and professional development.
