QIIN Visits NACETEM, Strengthens Partnership on Innovation, Policy Research, and Quality Capacity Building

The STI National Agenda
Abuja, October 16, 2025 — The Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN) paid a courtesy visit to the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) in Abuja, as part of its ongoing engagement with key national institutions driving Nigeria’s science, technology, and innovation (STI) agenda.
The QIIN delegation, led by Dr. Stephen S. Hati, President/CEO of QIIN, was warmly received by Dr. Olushola Odusanya, the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NACETEM. During the visit, Dr. Hati presented a QIIN memorabilia to Dr. Odusanya in recognition of NACETEM’s remarkable role as Nigeria’s foremost institution in STI management — bridging policy research, innovation, and capacity development.
Discussions during the meeting focused on NACETEM’s participation in the upcoming 2nd National Quality Improvement Summit (NQIS) and Award Night 2025, scheduled for November 13, 2025, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, under the theme “Quality: Think Differently.” Both parties explored future avenues for collaboration in training, policy research, and the promotion of innovation-driven quality management systems across Nigeria’s public and private sectors.
Supporting QIIN and the DG/CEO during the visit were Dr. Adebisi Akinyemi Fagbohun and Godwin Etuk-Udo, who both contributed to the discussions on aligning STI policy and institutional capacity development with QIIN’s national quality improvement objectives.
Dr. Odusanya commended QIIN for its commitment to promoting quality culture across sectors and expressed NACETEM’s readiness to deepen cooperation on joint projects that will foster evidence-based policy formulation, human capital development, and national competitiveness through science and innovation.
The courtesy visit marks another milestone in QIIN’s mission to build partnerships that advance the integration of quality, innovation, and research in national development, reinforcing the Institute’s role as a leading non-profit hub for quality management knowledge, advocacy, and collaboration.
