About the Course

The 2-day ISO/IEC 17025:2017 General requirements for the 
competence of testing and calibration laboratories is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand and apply the global standard for laboratory competence. The training will take place ONLINE. 

Usually undertaken as a Combo-Certification Course with ISO 15189:2022, this sponsored training program is jointly organized by the Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN), a non-governmental, not-for-profit institution, ISO Certified organisation and ISOSAptica a leading provider of, amongst others, technical support for testing and calibration laboratories in Nigeria.

Based on the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, this course aims to strengthen the capacity of professionals working in testing and calibration laboratories by ensuring a deep understanding of the standard’s requirements and their practical implementation in laboratory systems. Participants will learn how to establish and maintain a management system that assures valid results, fosters continual improvement, and meets both regulatory and customer expectations.

The course will also:

1. Demonstrate the link between ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and other global quality frameworks such as ISO 15189:2022.

2. Provide practical examples of how to implement technical and management requirements.

3. Share working templates and tools to support immediate application in participants’ laboratories.

4. Prepares participants for the hands-on Assesors Program on testing and calibrations.

5. Grant FREE QIIN membership to participants.
