A Milestone Achieved: Sponsored QMS ISO 9001:2015 Foundations Certification Course

The Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN) proudly announces the successful completion of the sponsored ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Foundations Certification Course, tagged “Abuja Stream 1.” This landmark event, held on December 8–9, 2023, at the Diamond Lounge, Hawthorn Suites in Garki, Abuja, marked a significant step forward in quality management education in Nigeria.

The course was a fantastic opportunity for professionals and newbies to improve and gain practical understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 standards without having to pay any training costs, thanks to generous sponsorship from Cademy Ltd., Primecare Fertility Clinic, and AMGC Farms. Of the 13 participants, three got full scholarships, and they not only gained invaluable knowledge but also became esteemed members of QIIN, furthering their professional journey in quality management.

The course provided an in-depth examination of the ISO standards under the direction of Dr. Stephen Hati, President/CEO and a QMS Certified Lead Auditor. Dr. Hati’s expertise and dynamic teaching approach provided the participants with a rich learning experience, equipping them with practical skills and insights. The presence of Dr. Mrs. Anastasia A. Eze, the co-author of QIIN’s FREE eBook, “Fundamentals of Quality,” added to the prestige of the event, offering participants a unique perspective on quality management principles.

Throughout the two-day course, participants delved into critical areas of the ISO 9001:2015 standards, enabling them to build skills in QMS documentations including quality objectives development, process approach, risk and opportunity evaluation, continual improvement through the PDCA cycle, and more. This intensive training prepared them to implement and enhance quality management systems effectively within their organizations.

The course concluded with participants receiving certificates, symbolizing their hard-earned knowledge and commitment to quality management. The attendees’ only out-of-pocket expense, which serves as a testament to their commitment, was the certification, which reflects the kind sponsorship that made this training possible.
