From Summit to Strategy: A Courtesy Visit to Galaxy Backbone

We Begin a New Chapter in Nigeria’s Digital Quality Journey
On Tuesday, 18 February 2026, at about 12:30 pm, a delegation from the Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN) paid a courtesy visit to Galaxy Backbone Limited in appreciation of their participation in the 2nd National Quality Improvement Summit (NQIS 2025) held last November. What began as a simple note of thanks to an organisation that sent three thoughtful delegates to the Summit became a warm and reflective conversation on the shared importance of quality, leadership, and national development.
The QIIN delegation was led by Dr. Stephen S. Hati, President/CEO of QIIN, accompanied by Ms. Maria-Blessing O. Paschal, QIIN Faculty member and Coordinator of the Quality-of-Life Improvement Initiative (QoLII). They were graciously received by Professor Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone, alongside a member of his team, Mrs Binta Alhamdu Head, Talent Attraction & Development. The meeting was marked by openness, thoughtful exchange, and a strong mutual respect for the role of structured quality improvement in Nigeria’s digital future.
During the visit, QIIN conferred on Professor Adeyanju the honour of FQIIN (Fellow of the Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria) in recognition of his leadership in advancing reliable and secure government digital infrastructure. The Fellowship acknowledges leaders whose work strengthens institutional systems and improves service delivery for citizens, values that resonate strongly with Galaxy Backbone’s national mandate.
The conversation also reflected on the journey from NQIS 2025 to the present moment. Three delegates attended the NQIS 2026 and returned to their organisation with renewed insight; a letter of appreciation followed; complimentary ISO training slots were offered; and now a courtesy visit has opened a pathway for deeper professional engagement.
These steps remind us that meaningful partnerships often begin quietly, through shared learning and mutual trust.
While specific details will be developed in due course, both organisations recognised the importance of continued dialogue on capacity building, research, and knowledge sharing in areas where digital infrastructure and quality management intersect. As Nigeria advances its digital economy ambitions, collaborations grounded in professionalism, ethics, and international best practice will be essential.
QIIN expresses sincere appreciation to Professor Adeyanju and the Galaxy Backbone team for their hospitality and thoughtful engagement. Moments like these strengthen the community of practice that QIIN has been nurturing through its training programs, research initiatives, and national events, such as NQIS.
They also remind us that improving systems, strengthening institutions, and empowering people are journeys best undertaken together.
